He has been on a 3 year diet, but never looses more than a couple of ounces either side of 6.6kg.
So after another shameful visit to the Fat Cat Club last week, (honestly, he just eats dust my dear) I had decided to have a full works blood test to see if he actually has an underlying problem.
So, on Sunday I am in the garden talking to the people in the flats either side to mine, and Vinnie comes wafting out. Gives it all that rubbing round my legs, so it was obvious he knew me.
"Oh look" says the man in the ground floor flat next to mine, "It is the ham sandwich cat"
"Ha ha" say the people in the flat above me "you think that's bad, he ate Stuarts roast dinner last week"
"Oh" says the woman on the other side of me "he ate a whole box of Go Cat the other week as he knows how to open kitchen cupboards".
They all laughed and starting telling me how Vinnie has a daily route of visits, including 2 ladies across the road!
Well, I was ashamed and somewhat mortified.
It seems that my Vinnie goes in and out of all the surrounding cat flaps, helps himself to whatever food is on offer and leaves.
I was so embarrassed.
They all said that as soon as he hears footsteps or them coming into the kitchen, he is out the cat flap at a speed that is surprising for such a fat and greedy bastard.
So last night, I took ham and bread to one neighbour, a chicken to the other and a box of cat biscuits to the final one.
I called the vet this morning and said that I now know why Vinnie is not loosing weight.
They all said that they never catch him, they just see him heading out the cat flap, but identify him as he wears a huge bell (he hunts and kills all the time) on a very bright collar.
I have never felt shame like it.
I have a cat flap that works on the boys micro chips so that I know other cats cannot get into my flat. It seems I am alone as all the rest have cat flaps that let any old cats in and out!!!
Seems that I have an out of control and greedy pussy.
He is the fat fucker who feels no shame........ you would not believe it to look at him eh?
